About the Role

The Senior Director, Cards Risk Management will lead the development and deployment of a comprehensive risk management approach for the Retail Credit Cards business at Royal Bank of Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a risk management framework to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess risks, and develop strategies to mitigate or manage them.
  • Provide risk management guidance and support to business leaders and teams to ensure effective risk management practices.
  • Monitor and report on risk management performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in risk management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in risk management, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective risk management strategies.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the Retail Credit Cards business.
