Marketing and Communications Manager

The Calgary Winter Club is seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Communications Manager to join our Experience and Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing compelling campaigns, managing communications, and executing design work across all platforms.

This role will support internal stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and its committees, while fostering engagement with external partners. You will provide marketing expertise to showcase the Club's diverse program offerings, from athletics and social events to food and beverage promotions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing sophisticated, complex communication plans to support capital planning initiatives
  • Creating and executing story-driven content that highlights the Club's culture, programs, and community involvement
  • Leveraging data insights to refine storytelling for maximum impact across digital platforms
  • Providing marketing and communications advice to business units, supporting execution, and measuring and analyzing outcomes
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting junior marketing and membership team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, commerce, communications, public relations, or a related field, or 10+ years of practical experience or internships, and a strong portfolio of work
  • A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related area, with professional capability for marketing and communications clearly demonstrated
  • Brand and communications management experience in developing and maintaining consistent brand messaging across multiple platforms
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and familiarity with marketing automation and analytics tools
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Communications expertise: strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences across various channels
  • Brand management experience, including maintaining brand consistency across all communications
  • Expertise in digital marketing channels, such as email marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
