Job Title: Restaurant Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Dairy Queen. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our business runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant's profits
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement
  • Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
  • Monitor revenues to determine labour cost
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Plan and organize daily operations to ensure seamless execution
  • Recruit and train staff to meet the needs of our growing business
  • Set staff work schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak periods
  • Supervise staff and provide guidance on customer service and food preparation
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate staff performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Cost products and services to ensure optimal profitability
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Leading/instructing individuals to achieve business objectives
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide customer service to ensure a positive dining experience
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Electronic cash register experience
  • MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and Point of Sale system experience
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Personal suitability: accurate, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, organized, reliability, team player
