Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at YES Kids Christian Childcare. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Encouraging Creativity: Encourage children to express their creativity through various forms of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Environment Maintenance: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Certifications and Memberships: Maintain membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) and hold current First Aid and CPR Certificates.
  • Screening Questions: Ensure you are legally able to work in Canada, reside in proximity to the advertised location, and possess the required certifications.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Work Setting: Child care centre.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctual, dependable, excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, reliability, and a team player.
