Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at YES Kids Christian Childcare. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Plan and execute activities that encourage creativity, imagination, and exploration, using various media such as art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Environment Maintenance: Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment that meets the needs of children, including maintaining a well-organized and well-equipped space.
  • Certifications and Memberships: Maintain current certifications, such as the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) membership, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate, as required by the position.
  • Screening Questions: Answer the following questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada? Do you currently reside in proximity to the advertised location? Do you have the above-indicated required certifications?
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience in early childhood education is an asset.
  • Work Setting: Child care centre.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, reliability, and team player.
