Job Title: Housekeeping Room Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team at Kawartha Heights Retirement Living. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our resident rooms and common areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, and distribute clean towels and toiletries.
  • Stocking and Supply Management: Stock linen closets and handle and report lost and found items.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items and provide basic information on facilities.
  • Light Housekeeping and Cleaning Duties: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, and address customers' complaints or concerns.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and overtime required.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, excellent written communication, and values and ethics.
