We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coordinator, Security Programs to join our team at the Vancouver Airport Authority. This is a key role that will play a critical part in promoting and communicating various security programs to our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Program Administration: Administer and promote the International SOS (ISOS) program to Airport Authority employees, briefing them on risks prior to travel.
- Corporate Security: Administer and maintain the Corporate Security program to protect employees, assets, and information from threats, identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Security Awareness: Educate employees about security policies and procedures, promoting best practices to create a security-conscious culture.
- Public Awareness: Organize campaigns to raise public awareness about the signs of human trafficking and how to report it.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Chair the Airport Security Committee to keep stakeholders informed of trends, training, and best practices.
- Onboarding: Attend bi-weekly new employee onboarding sessions to promote security to new hires and volunteers, reviewing the RAIC application process.
- Experience: At least five years' relevant experience in an airport environment, supplemented by a post-secondary certificate or diploma in criminal justice, security management, or a related field.
- Skills: Exemplary analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, with the ability to form sound judgment in a complex, technical environment.
- Communication: Excellent communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal, collaboration, and organization skills.
- Initiative: Demonstrated ability to implement crime prevention and awareness initiatives, with proven experience working effectively with multiple levels of internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS 365 applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Sway, for use in promoting security awareness and developing training materials.
We offer a competitive salary range of $72,008 to $94,115 per annum, based on 37.5 hours per week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
