About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologist to join our team at Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services - Central Zone. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for diagnosing diseases and physiological disorders, prescribing medication and treatment, and referring patients for surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders using various imaging techniques, and develop treatment plans to address these conditions.
  • Prescription and Referral: Prescribe medication and treatment, and refer patients for surgery as necessary.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Act as consultants to other physicians, providing expert advice and guidance on diagnostic and treatment options.
  • Diagnostic Procedures: Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry, with experience in radiology or a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities, and any other relevant certifications or licenses.
Work Environment

This is a temporary position, working 75 hours bi-weekly. The work language is English.
