Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct design work and perform load calculations, schematics, and equipment selection.
- Draft contract documents, including detailed specifications.
- Review shop drawings and provide evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with ASHRAE and LEED standards as necessary.
- Collaborate with various disciplines both within the organization and externally.
- Participate in discussions with clients, contractors, and consultants regarding project insights and reports.
- Offer expertise in identifying, analyzing, and resolving engineering challenges.
- Generate technical documentation, reports, calculations, and sketches.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is essential.
- A Professional Engineering Designation in Quebec (ing.) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, particularly in industrial, commercial, or institutional settings.
- Strong foundational knowledge in Building Design, focusing on mechanical systems such as HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection.
- Self-driven with the capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver quality work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with the LEED accreditation process is advantageous.
