Department of Social Science: Term Assistant Professor in Sociology

The Department of Social Science at the University of New Brunswick invites applications for an 8-month term position in Sociology. This role is at the rank of Assistant Professor and is housed within an interdisciplinary department that includes Social Work, Sociology, Communication Studies, and Education.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach six courses over the academic year at the undergraduate level, including SOCI 1001 Introduction to Sociology and SOCI 3104 Quantitative methods in the Social Sciences.
- Specialize in areas related to Health, Gender, and/or Indigenous Studies, which is an asset.
- Contribute to the Department's research, scholarly, or creative activity within their area of expertise.
- Ph.D. in Sociology or a cognate discipline, or near completion.
- Ability to teach and engage with students at the undergraduate level.
- Strong research and academic background in Sociology.
