Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Manager to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting the forecast, annual operating plan, and 5-year strategic planning processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage T&O Forecast and Planning activities, evaluating financials to measure outcomes compared to targets and providing detailed analysis and commentary for all planning initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports to support business decision-making and risk reduction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends, outliers, and risks from financial analysis results and escalate as necessary.
  • Coach others on data quality and data governance principles, promoting a culture of excellence and accuracy.
  • Support continuous improvement of processes and reports through simplification and automation, identifying redundancies and suggesting ways to achieve better results.
  • Develop clear, accurate, and concise financial messaging for inclusion in T&O Finance reports and presentations.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant finance experience, with a strong background in financial planning and analysis.
  • Enterprise mindset and strong analytical capabilities, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Team player with innovative and proactive thinking, able to champion and support creative solutions that focus on continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working experience and knowledge of EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) systems.
  • CPA, MBA, or CFA certification.
