Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our Facilities Services team at the College of New Caledonia (CNC). As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain all areas of the college, including classrooms, offices, and common areas.
  • Restock supplies, including paper products, soap, and sanitizer.
  • Operate and maintain custodial equipment, including vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
  • Assist with special events and projects as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Facilities Management.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 completion or equivalent.
  • 6 months or more previous institutional or commercial custodial experience.
  • Knowledge of custodial equipment and chemicals used.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize workload in an efficient manner.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, working 35 hours per week. Shift work will be required, with a focus on night shift. The term of this leave replacement is as stated or until the incumbent returns to work.
