Health Care Improvement Specialist

About the Role:
The Health Care Improvement Advisor is a key member of the International Operations team, responsible for delivering client services for the international accreditation program. This involves finding innovative ways to create and deliver value to healthcare organizations, aligned with our mission of quality improvement in healthcare and social services.
As a Health Care Improvement Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients throughout their accreditation journey. This includes educating clients about the accreditation process, developing customized accreditation plans, and providing ongoing support. You will work closely with the International team to review and evaluate services, collaborate on new initiatives, and partner with surveyors to ensure they understand the context of the organizations they are assessing.
Responsibilities:
- Support clients through education and coaching, building meaningful relationships and providing training sessions, coaching, and orientation to the program.
- Develop and negotiate customized accreditation plans, including identifying needs, survey preparation, and providing ongoing support.
- Collaborate with the International team to review and evaluate services, collaborate on new initiatives, and partner with surveyors to ensure they understand the context of the organizations they are assessing.
- Review survey reports and provide feedback to strengthen the future of healthcare services.
- Be a flexible team player, contributing positively to the culture of our workplace and supporting the team wherever needed.
- Travel internationally up to 20% of the time, as needed.
Requirements:
- University or Master's degree in a related field, such as Healthcare.
- 5+ years of progressive and varied experience in healthcare.
- Tried and tested assessment, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience in effectively communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Bilingualism in English and Spanish. Additional languages such as French are a definite asset.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact regularly with the International team and valued client organizations.
