Your Opportunity:
Are you seeking a chance to enhance your leadership and management capabilities while motivating others? The role of Central Services Manager (CSM) is a pivotal management position that offers opportunities for professional growth and engagement with both site and zone-wide initiatives. As a CSM within the Adult Acute Services sector of Addiction & Mental Health (AMH), you will be responsible for overseeing operations and providing guidance to staff and medical professionals. Your role will involve ensuring effective service delivery and maintaining high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
In your capacity as a CSM, you will:
- Facilitate a seamless continuum of service delivery through collaborative partnerships within AMH and with external organizations.
- Stay updated on current healthcare practices, particularly those relevant to the patient demographics served by the programs.
- Engage various disciplines and resources to address and resolve specific challenges and concerns.
- Participate in strategic planning, including identifying budgetary needs (human, material, and capital).
- Provide leadership to both professional and support staff while fostering a positive work environment.
- Respond promptly to various tasks, including patient care and safety-related decisions.
- Promote the safety and security of staff, patients, families, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
- Registration with a relevant regulatory college in Alberta.
- A minimum of two years of experience demonstrating informal leadership capabilities.
- Competency in leading self, engaging others, achieving results, and fostering relationships.
- Current Health Care Provider Level C CPR certification.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and site-specific software.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Baccalaureate Degree in a health-related field is preferred, along with five years of experience in a complex healthcare environment. Recent experience in Addictions and Mental Health, along with knowledge of recovery-focused principles, is also desirable.
