Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Technician to join our team at First Student Shared Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, including brakes, engines, suspensions, and transmissions.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations, to prevent breakdowns and ensure vehicle reliability.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards for safety and performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.

Requirements

  • Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required; 310T Mechanic license and ASE certification preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in vehicle repair and maintenance; experience with heavy-duty vehicles a plus.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent communication and customer service skills.
