Collaborating with libraries and their proficient stakeholders, including Librarians and administrative personnel, you will strive to comprehend their operational processes and how our solutions can optimally assist their daily functions. Your success in this position will be driven by your robust organizational expertise, exceptional communication abilities, and prior experience in software deployment.

Qualifications – experience, education, skills, and achievements

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline
  • Over 5 years of pertinent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in library/information sciences or a related technical area
  • Familiarity with Ex Libris or ProQuest products
  • Knowledge of library workflows and standards
  • Experience in customer service within library or technical environments

Responsibilities in this role

  • Oversee, direct, and execute implementation projects for Ex Libris products.
  • Collaborate with Academic and other libraries and their proficient stakeholders, including Librarians, Deans, and faculty members.
  • Collect information from clients/stakeholders to identify their challenges and priorities.
  • Address stakeholder concerns in a professional and timely manner, strengthening relationships and building trust.
  • Strive to understand workflows and how our solutions can best assist their daily operations.
  • Ensure project success by utilizing your strong organizational knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience in software implementation.
  • Provide guidance and support as needed.

About the Team

An Implementation Consultant engages in Data analysis & Migration, System configuration, technical project management, troubleshooting, and customer support for Ex Libris products. Internally, you will collaborate with the Professional Services Department, Product Support Teams, and Alma Migration Operations. Externally, you will work with Librarians and other personnel within libraries.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
  • While duties are generally performed during standard business hours, occasional off-hours work may be necessary.
