Senior Information Security Methodology Specialist

S.i. Systèmes is seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Security Methodology Specialist to join our team.

We are a leading provider of IT services to the Public sector, and we are responsible for managing a wide range of digital technology services to deliver our mandate.

Our Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) provides national leadership for the information management and information technology services for our organization, and is focused on supporting our priorities and business lines.

About the Role

  • Develop IT Security standards, procedures and guidelines pursuant to the requirements of Government of Canada
  • Collaborate with the OCIO to ensure that our underlying infrastructure is continuously improved to support modern workforce enabling tools
  • Work closely with Shared Services Canada to implement flexible solutions and improve connectivity for remote regions

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain IT Security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with Government of Canada requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement IT Security solutions to support business needs
  • Provide IT Security training and awareness programs to increase employee knowledge and understanding of IT Security best practices

Requirements

  • 15 years of experience as an Information Security Methodology Specialist in an IT environment
  • 5 years of experience developing IT Security policy instruments (policy, directive, standard, operating procedure, or guideline) within a federal Government of Canada department, agency or Crown Corporation
  • A valid certification, degree, or a diploma in the IT Security field
  • 5 projects of developing policies, operating procedures, standards, or guidelines that encompass IT security considerations and requirements
  • 5 projects of authoring IT Security training material and/or communiques to increase IT Security awareness
