About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team at EBC Inc. as a key member of our Civil Construction department. As a Superintendent, you will play a critical role in the successful execution of various heavy civil projects, including tunneling, highways, infrastructure, earthworks, and hydroelectric projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and establish effective relationships with on-site staff, ensuring a harmonious and productive work environment.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Assist the Project Manager in developing project schedules, work with the Project Manager to keep schedules updated, and ensure the job meets various milestones.
  • Site Management: Plan and review the site construction program, including quality control procedures, safety and environmental procedures, staging plans, equipment, and manpower.
  • Communication and Coordination: Establish and maintain necessary communications between subcontractors, consultants, and clients, chair weekly safety meetings and coordination meetings, and provide daily reports of work done and labor and material employed to the Project Manager.
  • Financial Management: Review and approve all time cards, subcontractor's monthly request for payment, material vouchers, and invoices.
Requirements
  • Experience: 8+ years of related work experience in a construction supervision role, working on heavy civil construction projects.
  • Skills and Attitudes: Strong organizational skills, leadership and autonomy, strong attention to detail, negotiation, ability to act quickly and efficiently, excellent communication skills, results-driven, and quality-oriented.
