Heavy Duty Mechanic

Tiger Calcium Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in a key role that involves the maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and trailers. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues, and ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy trucks and trailers, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Diagnostic and Repair: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy equipment, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and meets the company's quality standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
- Education and Experience: Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the industry.
- Skills and Knowledge: Valid driver's license, Class 1 preferred; experience with TMT, Cummings Insight, J-Pro, and other types of programs; ability to perform CVIP; experience with Cummins engines, hydraulic systems, product pumps, and trailers.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, pull, climb, stand, sit, lie down, squat, and kneel; ability to work in a repair shop environment and in all types of weather conditions.
The Heavy Duty Mechanic will work in a repair shop environment and will be required to work in all types of weather conditions. The position requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
