About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Young Buddies Club Ltd. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Collaborate with our Early Childhood Educators to design and implement engaging programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Environment Maintenance: Ensure the daycare environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained, including the upkeep of equipment and facilities.
  • Storytelling and Creative Activities: Engage children in storytelling, teach songs, and facilitate creative activities such as art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Supporting Daily Routines: Assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Snack Preparation and Room Arrangement: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Progress and Problem Discussion: Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and any challenges they may be facing.
  • Health and Safety: Contribute to maintaining an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Transportation and Travel: Ensure the safe transportation of children, if required.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Setting: Child care centre or elementary school.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
