Position Overview

QuadReal is on the lookout for a Senior Analyst, Internal Audit who will report directly to the Internal Audit Director. This pivotal role within the risk, compliance, and internal audit teams involves overseeing and executing significant internal audit initiatives, internal control assessments, and various risk assurance projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong business insight, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the capability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet stringent deadlines. The Internal Audit and Risk teams are dedicated to providing precise, timely, and actionable insights and recommendations to enhance QuadReal's governance, risk management, and control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Audit:

  • Lead and oversee the execution of financial, operational, or compliance audits across the Company's operations, including planning, conducting business and operational risk assessments, designing testing methodologies, determining sampling techniques, conducting interviews with process owners, and facilitating closing discussions with management.
  • Clearly articulate and present findings and recommendations for enhancements to auditees and management, both verbally and in written form.
  • Enhance internal audit methodologies by incorporating data analytics, identifying key risk indicators for ongoing auditing/monitoring, and developing dashboard reports for high-volume transactions.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and efficiency projects related to internal controls and risk management, focusing on elevating the assurance level.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual internal audit plan and compile quarterly reports for the Audit Committee.
  • Stay updated on current, emerging, and potential risks, trends, and opportunities impacting the organization, actively sharing insights with the team to bolster collective knowledge.

Additional Responsibilities:

As part of the integrated risk, compliance, and internal audit function, the Senior Analyst, Internal Audit may also contribute to projects such as:

  • Developing or refining privacy and AML compliance programs and procedural manuals.
  • Documenting operational or process-level risks associated with key business processes and mapping them to relevant controls.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in risk consulting, business auditing, risk management, or finance, or in another relevant professional field (experience with Big 4 firms is advantageous).
  • Familiarity with Workiva is a plus.
  • Proficient in data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Python, ACL, IDEA).
  • Experience in auditing specialized themes such as privacy, AML, and other compliance-related audits is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the real estate sector is beneficial.

Education and Credentials

  • Professional auditing and/or accounting designations (e.g., CPA/CIA/CFE/CISA) are preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or a Master of Business Administration.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect business strategy, risks, and control environments, along with expertise in risk, control, and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively engage with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, maintaining accountability for work quality and providing regular mentorship to junior team members.
  • A collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and diligent team player.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments.
  • A proven problem solver with a consulting mindset and change management skills.
