Primary Care Physician Position at Southern Health-Santé Sud

Southern Health-Santé Sud is seeking two Primary Care Physicians to join their team in providing comprehensive primary care services at various affiliate sites. The Primary Care Physician responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality primary care to the target population
  • Offering inpatient acute healthcare, sharing Emergency department and on-call duties collaboratively with a team of physicians
  • Providing support for patients in surrounding communities
  • Delivering Long-Term Care (LTC) and Palliative Care (PCH) services, as well as after-hours support for PCHs within the area
  • Supporting the Critical Care Team (CTU) as a preceptor for learners

The positions are salaried and flexible to accommodate candidates' preferences. Proficiency in both official languages is required for designated bilingual positions. Candidates must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba and hold current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) & Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to respect and promote cultural diversity and maintain confidentiality. A valid Class 5 driver's license and insured vehicle are necessary for the role.
