Position Overview

ATLAS Aéronautique inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dedicated team in the aviation and aerospace manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machining and a commitment to quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
  • Machine Repair: Perform repairs on machine tools and components to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Setup and Adjustment: Set up and fine-tune production machinery and tools for various tasks.
  • Component Assembly: Fit and assemble machine parts to stringent tolerances.
  • Documentation: Maintain inspection records and document any deviations from specifications.
  • Measurement Verification: Use precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers, to verify dimensions of machined parts.
  • Machine Operation: Operate both conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a Registered Apprenticeship program.
  • Certification: Hold a valid Machinist Trade Certification.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Tools and Equipment

Familiarity with various measuring tools and machinery is essential, including:

  • Micrometers

Work Environment

The role requires:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail.
