About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at Wallenius Wilhelmsen. As a Lead Specialist, Technical Support, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to our end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, and driving continuous improvement in our IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide level 2 on-site and remote end-user support, including desktop support, printer support, and mobility support.
  • Manage tickets and ensure timely resolution, escalating complex issues to senior technical staff as needed.
  • Ensure secure and stable IT operations, including responsibility for all end-user IT equipment and site IT infrastructure.
  • Continuously improve the IT environment, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers, IT management, and other stakeholders to resolve major incidents, implement process improvements, and address new requirements.
  • Support production floor and office environment operations, including executive support as required.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues as part of a distributed international team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Update existing and create new infrastructure and process documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

  • Excellent technical competences, including PC/Laptop installs, moves, additions, changes, and troubleshooting, help desk support, and excellent knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and MS Office Applications.
  • Working knowledge of networking, including VPN and wireless support, printer support, and familiarity with Power Apps and Power BI.
  • Handheld scanner support, third-party application support, mobile phones, audio/video setups, and experience working closely with users, vendors, and all levels of management.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent knowledge, and other official certifications (Microsoft, Dell, Cisco, etc.) will be an advantage.

About You

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent analytical and communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and excellent collaborative and teaming skills.
  • Detail-oriented, ability to work effectively under minimal supervision, ability to quickly adopt and learn new technologies, and fluency in English.
  • Ability to travel up to a certain percentage, as required.
