Job Summary:

The LPN Shift Supervisor - Team Lead will be responsible for the effective supervision of the Meadows ARC and its satellite services WVSA and CSS/ILS. This role will ensure consistent delivery of quality care/service to the participants and perform job requirements under the specific direction of the Director/Assistant Director of Disability Support Programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision: Oversees the activities and effective functioning of the Rehabilitative Care Workers, Recreation Programmers, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Dietary staff in the absence of the department's manager.
  • Clinical Leadership: Maintains supportive, caring, professional relationships with participants in a manner appropriate to their individual needs and abilities, supporting inclusion and independence.
  • Quality Assurance: Participates in the problem solving, decision-making and quality assurance processes relating to participant care.
  • Communication: Actively participates in Clinic Team discussions and attends/participates in meetings as appropriate.
  • Collaboration: Maintains effective communication and positive working relationships with other LPN'S, and Management Team Members.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Participates in communication with both Director, Assistant Director, and CEO to discuss issues relating to quality of care, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Currently licensed as a LPN in Nova Scotia
  • Successful completion of Pharmacology Course
  • Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License; available means of transportation.
  • Current certificate in Standard First Aid and CPR
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention training or Mandt
  • Related experience preferred.
