Job Title: Chemical Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Process Engineer to join our team at Vogtech Renewables. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our industrial chemicals manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quality control on programs, procedures, and control strategies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Determine product specifications and establish new quality control programs and strategies to improve process efficiency.
  • Evaluate chemical process technology and equipment to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Conduct economic and technical feasibility studies to inform process design and optimization decisions.
  • Develop guidelines and specifications for the handling of dangerous chemicals, environmental protection, and standards for foods, materials, and consumer goods.
  • Oversee the construction, modification, operation, and maintenance of pilot plants, processing units, or processing plants.
  • Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers to ensure effective team management and knowledge transfer.
  • Commission systems and components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems to minimize downtime and optimize process performance.
Requirements:
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team of engineers and technicians.
