We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at SEVEN M CONSTRUCTION LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our landscaping team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard and on time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Supervise and Schedule Staff: Lead and manage a team of landscapers, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and training to perform their duties effectively.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for the maintenance of our grounds, including lawn care, tree service, and grounds maintenance.
  • Plan, Manage and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Oversee the planning and execution of landscape construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the course of a project, providing technical advice and guidance to team members as needed.
  • Supervise Other Workers: Supervise and mentor other workers, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties effectively.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement work schedules and procedures to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train Other Workers: Provide training and development opportunities to other workers, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with chain saws, small engine equipment, sod cutters, and tractor mowers.
  • Area of Specialization: Lawn care, tree service, grounds maintenance, landscape construction, and nursery or greenhouse.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots required.
  • Personal Suitability: Initiative, judgement, and ability to work as a team player.
