The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipper/Receiver at Wajax. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient flow of industrial goods in and within our branch or warehouse.

The Role

  • Receive and verify goods into inventory, including unpacking and checking contents against documents; accurately input received goods into our computer tracking system.
  • Prepare packages for shipment in accordance with packing slips and customer orders.
  • Ensure goods are shipped in accordance with organizational best practices and customer requirements.
  • Maintain Bills of Lading and arrange carriers for timely delivery of goods.
  • Stock shelves with received shipments, using the appropriate sorting/organization system and equipment.
  • File packing slips and print service documents as required.
  • Complete a daily forklift log and maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Handle emergency orders and inter-branch transfers.
  • Operate forklifts and activities within the work area in a safe manner.

The Candidate

  • Education: High School diploma; valid Forklift license/certification; valid driver's license and must be insurable.
  • Work Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge: Competent in Microsoft Office.
