About the Position

The Vice-Principal will assist the Principal in the pedagogical, educational, and administrative management of the school, ensuring the success of all students in accordance with the guidelines of the French and Ontario Ministries of Education and aligned with TFS' mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure clear responsibilities for each staff member and promote collaboration among colleagues.
  • Establish trusting relationships with the school community and effectively communicate TFS' mission, vision, and values.
  • Supervise and support teachers and administrative staff in their professional development.
  • Participate in the identification of needs and organize professional development and continuing education activities.
  • Assist the Principal in the evaluation and supervision of teachers and administrative staff.
Teaching and Learning Portfolio
  • Implement the academic program and projects in liaison with the Leadership Team and the Teaching and Learning Team.
  • Ensure assessments for tracking purposes are completed and moderated in line with the assessment policy.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Implement initiatives and best practices to improve the learning experiences offered to students.
Educational Mission
  • Ensure common understanding and respect for TFS values in terms of positive student behavior.
  • Work with teachers and the learning forum to ensure the well-being of students and encourage them to be polite and respectful.
Administrative and Material Management
  • Assist the Principal in developing and maintaining effective and accountable systems for the day-to-day operation of the school.
  • Collaborate in the dissemination of information and promotion of the school.
