Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver patient care and support with enthusiasm, fostering personal connections during each visit.
· Ensure patients receive optimal hygiene treatments based on clinical evaluations and their comprehensive oral health goals.
· Exhibit a desire to assist, educate, and enhance the lives of our patients.
· Gather patients' dental and relevant medical histories for reference during examinations.
· Prepare patients for orthodontic consultations.
· Set up patients and equipment for X-Rays.
· Conduct X-Ray procedures while adhering to all safety protocols.
· Assess gums for infections or periodontal diseases.
· Perform teeth cleaning to eliminate plaque, followed by polishing, flossing, and brushing.
· Bond and remove orthodontic brackets and appliances.
· Place and remove arch wires.
· Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices and treatment progress.
· Update patient records and examination notes diligently.
· Execute all laboratory duties as directed by the orthodontist or leadership team.
· Prepare and maintain all dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
· Follow up with patients for aftercare and address any inquiries.
· Travel to satellite locations as required.
· Maintain a positive demeanor and collaborate effectively with team members to foster an atmosphere of trust, respect, and cooperation.
· Exhibit a high level of energy suitable for a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred but not mandatory.
· Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
· Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within the province, in good standing.
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable.
· Strong time management and organizational abilities.
· Experience in an orthodontic setting is preferred but not essential.
· Current CPR and First Aid certification.
