Job Summary

This position is responsible for reviewing and balancing gaming revenues and volumes while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Under the general direction of the Manager, Audit, this position will be responsible for the audit of the casino operations at the site level. The duties will vary from performing various paperwork audits and producing exception reports and the overall controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue Assurance: Review, enter and balance daily gaming revenues to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Reporting: Distribute revenue reports to management and regulatory bodies in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong working relationships with guests and team members to ensure a positive and welcoming environment.
  • Audit and Compliance: Perform a meter audit, including all meters that affect revenue calculation, and ensure compliance with gaming regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Compute totals and prepare the end of day revenue calculations into spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Investigation and Reporting: Investigate unusual occurrences and variances and report them to team leader to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Document Management: File all documents and computer reports for future reference to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including guests, ownership, regulatory bodies, and team members.
  • Operational Excellence: Anticipate operational and service issues before they escalate, trouble-shoot, and resolve guest concerns before they become complaints.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure compliance of Audit with policy and procedures, legislation, health and safety, and other statutory regulations and programs, including AGCO.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education or suitable combination of continuing education and strong experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in administration; minimum 1 year in casino operations an asset.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills and the ability to train and develop team members.
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn, develop, and achieve new skills for personal and professional development.
  • Technical Skills: Computer fluency in MS Office.
  • Registration: Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
