Environmental Manager Job Description

AECOM is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team in Burnaby, British Columbia. As a key member of our Environment, Ecology, and Permitting Department, you will be responsible for managing a team of environmental professionals and overseeing projects related to environmental consulting and permitting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of environmental professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement business strategies and tactics to drive growth and revenue in the environmental consulting market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects and services to clients.
  • Develop and manage project proposals, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members on environmental consulting and permitting projects.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to drive growth and revenue.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to ensure successful project delivery and growth.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in environmental consulting and permitting, with a strong background in team leadership and management.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 12 years of experience in environmental consulting and permitting, with a strong background in team leadership and management.
  • R.P.Bio designation.
  • Strong organizational management skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Work experience in environmental consulting, with technical expertise in an environmental discipline such as aquatics, vegetation, wildlife, soils, reclamation, or permitting.
