Key Responsibilities
  1. Equipment Management: Organize and maintain research tools and samples efficiently.
  2. Partner Coordination: Act as a liaison with research collaborators regarding their equipment and material needs.

  4. Project Support: Assist the Research Manager and Project Manager in executing their research initiatives.
  5. Field Work: Participate in field activities for Nunatsiavut-led and collaborative projects.
  6. Training Coordination: Organize training sessions for staff and partners at the Nunatsiavut Research Centre.
  7. Community Support: Aid in the operation of community resources and events.
  8. Proposal Assistance: Support staff in drafting proposals and annual reports.
  9. Flexible Hours: Adapt to varying work hours as necessary.

Qualifications
  1. Extensive land-based knowledge with a minimum of 15 years in marine and terrestrial environments, or a relevant diploma with at least 5 years of experience.
  2. Experience in remote outdoor settings for 3-5 years.
  3. Background in outdoor research projects for 3-5 years.
  4. Familiarity with handling research equipment.
  5. Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  6. Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  7. Innovative and positive approach to challenges.
  8. Understanding of Inuit culture and communities.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  2. Experience with office machinery.
  3. Bilingual in Inuktitut and English.
  4. Qualified beneficiary of the Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement.
