Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to patients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct specimen collection and provide nursing services within the defined scope of practice.
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families, promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with the healthcare team as needed.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure as a practical nurse in the province/territory of work.
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination.
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Sound discrimination and combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a geriatric setting.
  • Geriatric nursing certification or training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
