Your Role
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our dedicated team focused on developing AI and machine learning solutions aimed at enhancing the security and operational efficiency of the embedded finance sector. Your skills will be pivotal in creating, deploying, and maintaining machine learning systems that tackle significant challenges in the payments industry, including fraud detection, transaction enhancement, dispute resolution, anti-money laundering (AML), and sanctions compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Model Development and Implementation: You will establish and sustain the machine learning infrastructure that allows data scientists to create, train, and deploy ML models. Your expertise will drive the model development lifecycle, improving productivity and innovation. You will lead engineering efforts on projects addressing critical issues such as fraudulent transactions and compliance.
- Collaboration and Strategy: Work closely with product teams to align technical solutions with business objectives. Engage in strategic discussions to promote data-driven decision-making and provide insights based on model performance.
- Research and Innovation: Keep up with advancements in machine learning and payment technologies. Investigate new data sources and modeling techniques to improve model accuracy and efficiency. Initiate projects that leverage cutting-edge techniques to address industry challenges.
- Technical Documentation and Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory and ethical standards in all machine learning processes. Document development procedures and assist in preparing reports for regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 3+ years in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Experience with cloud platforms and machine learning infrastructure (AWS, Sagemaker, Databricks, etc.).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with familiarity in ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Strong grasp of data structures, software architecture, and large-scale computing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Generative AI technologies.
- Background in scalable model development and deployment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with NLP techniques for data interpretation.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to finance and payments.
- Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps tools to enhance model deployment efficiency.
