About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled MES Technician to join our team at Plasman. As a key member of our production support team, you will be responsible for the staging, operation, and maintenance of our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in a 24/7 production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the staging and operation of MES equipment, including troubleshooting and standardization.
- Provide IT support for MES systems across all Plasman facilities, including production support and maintenance.
- First-line support for MES workstations, barcode printers, and scanners.
- Responsible for commissioning, setup, and deployment of hardware and software for MES projects and product launches.
- Proactive and preventative maintenance of MES equipment, including PCs, networking, and other related systems.
- Troubleshoot and support MES/RTL and other IT-related helpdesk tickets.
- Ensure equipment inventory is maintained and available for production use.
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in IT/manufacturing environments.
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing execution systems (MES) and/or IT systems.
- Prior experience with barcode/label printers and scanners.
- Proficiencies in MS SQL,.NET, PMP, SCRUM, etc.
- Domain experience/certifications with MES, MOM, SCADA, and MRP/ERP related systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
