At Dynacare, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our laboratory team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee laboratory operations, including workflow, client services, and occupational health and safety.
- Perform laboratory assistant duties as required, including obtaining blood samples and other specimens from patients.
- Provide technical and operations expertise to support employees and contribute to the training of new staff members.
- Utilize wait time measurements and technology to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to reduce patient wait times.
- Ensure prompt and courteous customer service to all internal and external clients.
- Report and support the investigation, documentation, and implementation of preventative measures for workplace accidents, injuries, and hazards.
- Ensure the laboratory is always audit and inspection ready.
- 3-5 years of experience working in a laboratory environment.
- Working knowledge of laboratory best practices and competent in all collection techniques.
- Excellent command of English and/or French, where applicable.
- Certification of BAT/DOT and bilingualism are assets.
- Proficient with GD-related software applications, including EOE, Omnitech, Telemed, AS400, and Outlook.
- Sound knowledge of MOH, OLA, and OAML legislation and guidelines.
- Proficient in MS Office and excellent computer and keyboarding skills.
- Lean Six Sigma/Change management-training preferred.
