Quality Assurance Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Associate to join our team at Emerald Lane Recruitment. This role will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our cannabis manufacturing and processing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee Quality Assurance operations, ensuring compliance with Health Canada, NHP, and GMP standards.
  • Manage day-to-day QA activities to uphold product quality and regulatory adherence, including preparation for and participation in internal and external audits.
  • Prepare and review batch production records and ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Complete experience process validation for new processes and products, including IQ, OQ, PQ, and PPQ.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance in a DEL-regulated environment, NHP, cosmetics, or a cGMP-regulated industry.
  • Hands-on experience on process validation for new processes and products, including IQ, OQ, PQ, and PPQ.
  • Knowledge of Health Canada Cannabis Regulations, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Food and Drugs Act and Regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in continuous learning and quick application of new information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Drive (Docs, Sheets) software suites.
  • Positive attitude with a proactive, self-disciplined approach.
