Academic Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at the University of Toronto. As a member of our faculty, you will be responsible for providing exemplary patient-centered care and participating in the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs of the University of Toronto.

The successful candidate will be committed to a career in emergency medicine and will have demonstrated academic excellence through specialization in education, quality improvement, or research. They will be expected to participate in the development and implementation of academic programs and will have a strong track record of teaching and/or research.

The ideal candidate will hold an MD degree, be eligible for certification in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Emergency Medicine, and have, or be eligible for, licensure in Ontario. They will also have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion and will be able to contribute to the further diversification of ideas within our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient-centered care to patients in the emergency department
  • Participate in the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs of the University of Toronto
  • Develop and implement academic programs in emergency medicine
  • Contribute to the development of research and quality improvement initiatives in emergency medicine

Requirements:

  • MD degree
  • Eligibility for certification in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Emergency Medicine
