Associate Scientist, Downstream Process Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Scientist to join our Downstream Process Development team at AbCellera. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development and optimization of clinical and commercial manufacturing processes for the purification of antibodies.
Key Responsibilities- Design, plan, and execute experiments to optimize antibody purification processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for downstream processing operations
- Conduct bench-scale and high-throughput production to optimize process yields and product quality
- Communicate project updates and deliverables to stakeholders
- M.Sc or B.Sc in a relevant field (e.g. biotechnology, biochemistry, chemical engineering)
- 2-5 years of experience in downstream process development in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical organization
- Experience with purification techniques such as chromatography, normal flow filtration, and tangential flow filtration
- Experience with bioanalytical assays associated with purification processes (e.g. SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, HPLC)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
AbCellera offers a competitive salary range of CAD $59,000 - $74,000, commensurate with education and experience. We also offer equity, annual bonus, and comprehensive health benefits.
