We are in search of a Community Support Specialist who is committed to positively impacting the lives of those we serve.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Compensation: To be discussed during the initial screening

Position Overview:

The role involves:

  1. Delivering direct assistance to individuals in both the Day Program and community settings
  2. Encouraging community engagement, participation, and inclusion
  3. Leading and/or participating in Day Program activities, classes, outings, and scheduled events
  4. Supporting personal care and hygiene routines as needed
  5. Providing comprehensive behavioral and medical support
  6. Administering prescribed medications
  7. Completing necessary documentation and reports promptly
  8. Undergoing all required training (including Abuse Prevention & Response, Best Practices, Medication Assistance, Mandt, Universal Precautions, Food Safety, WHMIS, Fire Safety, Diabetes Training)

Qualifications:

  1. Recent Police Information Check & Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 6 months)
  2. Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C certification
  3. At least 1 year of experience with a Class 5 Canadian Driver's License
  4. Access to a dependable vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma
  2. Post-secondary education in a relevant field
  3. Minimum of 6 months related experience is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Hourly Rate: Starting at $18.80
