About the Role:As an Automotive Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences by conducting diagnostic procedures to determine vehicle maintenance requirements and providing accurate repair recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform vehicle repairs and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and OEM standards.
- Communicate effectively with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production/repairs, cycle times, and customer communication.
- Conduct multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations for repairs, ensuring the safety and reliability of vehicles.
- Document all work performed on the vehicle repair order, creating a story in accordance with OEM standards.
- Maintain an inventory of common automotive technician's tools and stay up-to-date with factory technical bulletins and training classes.
- Provide an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenue.
- A provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate, completed or in process.
- Red Seal Certification is considered an asset.
- Completion of a related post-secondary program and/or training courses.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving history.
