About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team at Allingham Machining Inc. As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will play a key role in the design, development, and testing of electrical and electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical and electronic systems
  • Write specifications for electrical and electronic components
  • Assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components
  • Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments
  • Collect and compile operational or experimental data
  • Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems
  • Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Initiative and ability to work as part of a team
Work Environment
  • Work will be performed in a rural area
  • Public transportation is available

  • Hours: 35 hours per week
