Job Title: Moving Helper

About the Role:

The Moving Helper is a key member of our team at Brandon Moving & Storage, a business unit of Gardewine. As a Moving Helper, you will be responsible for loading and unloading household goods, such as boxes and furniture, while providing excellent customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all clients, ensuring a positive experience throughout the moving process.
  • Load and unload household goods, including boxes and furniture, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Participate in the packing of household items, ensuring that all items are properly secured and protected.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and government regulations related to packing, loading, and unloading.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, keeping them informed of activities and ensuring a smooth moving process.
  • Load/unload households, tag, and list, pad and protect furniture in a timely manner.
  • Work in a safe manner, adhering to all Gardewine safe work policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the goals and objectives of the team.
Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to perform the physical requirements of this role.
  • Prior experience loading and unloading household/office furniture and specialty freight.
  • Proven history of working in collaborative teams.
Physical Requirements:

Physically, you will need to be able to move boxes, furniture, and office equipment as required. This includes bending, lifting, turning, carrying, twisting, and going up and down stairs while carrying weight.

Criminal Record and background check will be completed. This is a part-time position with full-time availability. Pay Scale is $16.35-$19.26 per hour.
