Your Role:
The Wavelogic product line is integral to Ciena's optical fiber transmission solutions and plays a crucial role in our success within the telecommunications sector. We are seeking a seasoned digital verification engineer to enhance our team, focusing on the verification of these products in collaboration with digital design engineers, verification engineers, and system architects.
As a digital verification expert, you will devise and implement innovative verification methodologies to thoroughly simulate and validate functional components and subsystems of the Wavelogic product line.
- Quickly grasp the architecture and functional specifications of projects to effectively communicate and collaborate with systems engineers and architects.
- Ensure comprehensive validation of entire subsystems through a strategic mix of simulation, formal methods, and coverage techniques.
- Create, review, and optimize components of the simulation environment, test scenarios, and formal verification plans.
- Lead focused groups, mentor team members, and manage priorities to achieve specific objectives.
- Estimate project timelines and track progress towards timely completion, providing clear status updates regularly.
- As an ASIC Verification Prime, oversee all aspects of digital verification for the Serdes, collaborating with partner teams to ensure comprehensive coverage and participating in architectural reviews to enhance verification processes.

Required Qualifications:
- A degree at the BEng/BSc, MEng/MSc, or PhD level in electrical or computer engineering or computer science.
- Expert knowledge of System Verilog, UVM, SVA, and major vendor simulators.
- Proven ability to implement comprehensive and optimized digital verification and coverage strategies.
- A self-motivated individual who can work independently while being an effective team player.
- Proficient in systematically addressing and debugging complex technical issues.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with formal verification techniques.
- Familiarity with standards and protocols such as OTN/FlexO/B100G, Ethernet (100GE+).
- Proficient in using GIT for source code management and revision control.
- Experience with Jira for project planning and issue tracking.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Make, bash, object-oriented programming, C, C++, and System C.
