We are seeking a highly skilled Power Engineer to join our team at The Engineering Institute of Canada. As a 4th Class Power Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our plant equipment, including boilers, compressors, and pumps.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and operate plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections and record readings to ensure equipment operates within specified parameters.
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Respond to emergencies and equipment failures promptly and safely.
- Adjust controls to maintain optimal operational performance and energy efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment status, performance, and repairs.
- Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and supervisors to achieve operational goals.
- Participate in safety and operational training as required.
- Adhere to environmental regulations and contribute to sustainability goals.
- Valid 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate.
- Familiarity with the operation of boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, and other related equipment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting.
