Key Responsibilities
  • Staff scheduling and management
  • Maintenance of equipment and supplies
  • Role modeling for staff in promoting multi-disciplinary communication and co-ordination of care
  • Collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
Requirements
  • Ontario College of Nurses registration
  • Baccalaureate Degree in nursing
  • Oncology certificate
  • CC1 or equivalent
  • Experience in staff scheduling and knowledge of the ONA contract
  • Minimum 5 years recent medical nursing experience
  • Knowledge of, and experience with current legislation governing Nursing Clinical Practice in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Excellent assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Oncology nursing experience
  • Experience in administering chemotherapy
  • Coronary Care 2
