About the Opportunity

The City of Prince George is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Parking Control Officer. As a key member of our Bylaw Services team, you will be responsible for enforcing parking regulations and ensuring the safety and security of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce parking bylaws and regulations through education and enforcement
  • Conduct proactive patrols of City public spaces to identify and address parking violations
  • Issue tickets to parking violators or order vehicles to be towed as necessary
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience working with the public in an enforcement capacity
  • Formal training in conflict resolution and customer service
  • Familiarity with parking control, bylaw enforcement, court, and adjudication processes
  • Valid full privilege class 5 BC driver's license (or out of province equivalent)

  • Competitive hourly wage of $31.60 plus 12% in lieu of benefits
  • Terms expected to last 6 months or longer are eligible for benefits
