About the Role
In this pivotal position, reporting to the Senior Manager, the Environmental Assessment Specialist II plays a crucial role in delivering technical expertise and coordinating initiatives for Ensero's clientele. This role also entails providing strategic guidance on various projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in all aspects related to environmental and social impact evaluations for Ensero's projects and clients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary technical teams, actively seeking opportunities to enhance project environmental design elements and optimize regulatory procedures.
  • Offer corporate technical assistance to Ensero projects concerning environmental compliance, governance, and permitting processes.
  • Engage and communicate with First Nations, governmental bodies, stakeholders, and communities to facilitate permitting efforts.
  • Represent Ensero Solutions and its clients in regulatory and community forums, workshops, and events, overseeing the creation of presentation materials.
  • Stay informed about current and forthcoming legislative and regulatory changes that may affect Ensero or client projects, coordinating and sharing regulatory insights within the organization.
  • Foster professional and business relationships across the industry to support Ensero's growth and strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to the writing and development of client proposals while exploring business development avenues in mining and other sectors.
  • Conduct reviews of technical outputs and programs within areas of expertise.
  • Assist in risk assessment alongside project management.
  • Monitor and advocate for system environmental health and worker safety compliance.
  • Complete additional projects, reporting, and tasks as assigned.
  • Perform all other related duties as necessary.

About You

  • Possess a university degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental assessment.
  • Experience in environmental consulting or project consulting environments is essential.
  • Familiarity with the impact assessment and licensing frameworks in Yukon, British Columbia, and other jurisdictions for resource development projects.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication abilities.
