Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician III to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including mechanical and electrical systems, and providing top-notch maintenance and repair services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on facility mechanical equipment and systems
  • Conduct structured inspections and troubleshoot issues to ensure facility uptime and client satisfaction
  • Respond to service requests and perform corrective maintenance as needed
  • Monitor and maintain facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance programs and ensure compliance with corporate and legislated policies
  • Provide excellent client service and maintain positive relations with tenants and customers
Requirements
  • High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing
  • Minimum 3 years experience in facilities maintenance and repair
  • Sound knowledge of processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and other building systems and equipment
  • Strong client-service orientation and high sense of urgency
  • Knowledge and understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC Systems
  • Effective communication skills for data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification
  • Mentoring skills to support lower-level technician development
